1st Semester's Result...

Semester one (3 more to go) in Monash has finally ended a month ago. During this one month of holiday, all I did was sitting at home, staring at the computer for hours and I only move my butt from my bed when it is time to move out and fetch my mum from work (except for the times when I take my bath and also meal).

Well, I have wasted yet another month and now the year is coming to an end. 2010 is ending and I have received my result two weeks ago. I said before that I wished I would pass with flying colours at least for one or two subjects and no failures. I guessed my prayers were answered.

The time when I receive my result was pretty much scary and shocking.

At first, my phone rang informing me that there is a message. Like usual, I just take my phone out and open the message. It was a number I did no recognize and when I read the first few words, it says that it is a message from Monash and I was shocked!

“Why is Monash sending me a message?!!” thought me curiously.

Then I continued reading the message and it has my subject name and also the result (I subscribed for the service to receive my results via sms and the result came a day earlier when it said they would be coming maybe a day later as the system is still new). When I read through the message I was scared because I am finding out my result. Guess my brain is working a little slow even though I have read the whole message, I still haven’t realize what my results are. So, I read it again and I was surprised and couldn’t be happier of what I have achieved. Not great, but still better than I have expected and also a lesson to learn that is to be more hardworking next semester. Hopefully, I will not be all talk again and did nothing to improve myself. Well, guess that is one of my new year’s resolutions.

How to Catch a Liar

Are you being lied to? Find out how you can tell.

1. How is the person speaking?
Although a change in voice can be the tip-off to a lie, experts say that to be sure, you should also pay attention to a person's speech rate and breathing pattern -- if either speeds up or slows down, chances are you're not hearing the whole truth.

2. What is the person saying?

Liars tend to avoid exclusionary words like "but," "nor," "except," and "whereas," because they have trouble with complex thought processes. Liars are less likely to use the words "I," "me," and "mine." In their attempts to distance themselves psychologically from their tall tales, liars will tend to communicate using fewer personal pronouns.

3. Is his face giving it away?
You may think disguising your true feelings is easily accomplished with the help of a smile, but the expressions that flash across your face will give away what you're really thinking -- whether you know it or not. Experts advise paying close attention to the micro-expressions that a face can't hide. These clues are often so difficult to detect that even trained experts have trouble discerning them.

4. How is the person smiling?
A smile can sometimes mask a person's true feelings. Pay close attention to how a person smiles as well as other facial movements. You may be able to detect the emotions he or she is trying to hide -- such as fear, anger, and disgust. A true smile will incorporate both a person's lips and eyes.

5. Does the body language follow the story?
It's more important to examine a person's entire demeanor, as there's no one feature that's apt to give away a liar. Honesty is characterized by features that are in sync with one another -- so besides posture, note the fit between face, body, voice, and speech.

6. Is your subject behaving uncharacteristically?
Experts believe changes in a person's baseline -- how she generally conducts herself -- are worthy of your attention. You should weigh rate of speech, tone of voice, posture, and hand gestures against what you know, along with the context of the situation.

7. Is the question simple or embarrassing?
It's normal for someone to look away when asked a difficult question. But when someone avoids your gaze when asked a simple question, you should be suspicious.

Seven Best Stress Fighting Foods....

Mens Health

7 Best Stress-Fighting Foods

http://health.yahoo.net/experts/eatthis/7-best-stress-fighting-foods

Papaya
Wouldn’t it be awesome if there was a magic nutrient that could stop the flow of stress hormones—the very hormones that make your body superefficient at storing fat calories? Wouldn’t you want to gobble that food up like crazy, especially if it tasted great? Half a medium papaya carries nearly 75 percent more vitamin Cthan an orange, and provides potent protection against stress. Researchers at the University of Alabama found 200 milligrams of vitamin C—about as much as you’ll find in one large papaya—twice a day nearly stopped the flow of stress hormones in rats. It should work for you, too.

Other smart sources of vitamin C: Red bell peppers, broccoli, oranges

Bonus Tip: The closer an ingredient is to its original form, the healthier it is for you. Avoid the worst side of the nutritional spectrum by familiarizing yourself with this shocking list of The 15 Worst Food Creations of 2010.

Peppermint Tea
The mere scent of peppermint helps you focus and boosts performance, according to researchers. Another study discovered that peppermint tea makes drivers more alert and less anxious.

Other smart sources of peppermint: Peppermint candy and peppermint oil

Bonus Tip: Beware of disastrous drinks that only pretend to be healthy. Avoid 2,000-calorie shakes, 1,500-calorie smoothies, and other big offenders in this eye-popping list of The 20 Worst Drinks in America in 2010.

Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds are loaded with stress-busting potential thanks to high levels of magnesium. Only about 30 percent of us meet our daily magnesium requirements, placing the rest of us at a higher risk for stress symptoms such as headaches, anxiety, tension, fatigue, insomnia, nervousness and high blood pressure. (Basically we’re frayed wires, and magnesium is the electrical tape that can pull us back together.) A quarter cup of pumpkin seeds gives you half your day’s magnesium requirements.

Other smart sources of magnesium: Spinach, Swiss chard, black beans, soybeans, salmon

Avocados
The healthy fats buried in the avocado’s flesh make it an ideal choice when you’re craving something rich and creamy. The reasons? Monounsaturated (healthy) fatty acids, and potassium--both of which help combat high blood pressure. Avocado fat is 66 percent monounsaturated, and gram-for-gram, the green fruit has about 35 percent more potassium than a banana. Whip up a fresh guacamole or slice a few slivers over toast and top with fresh ground pepper.

Other smart sources of potassium: Squash, papaya, spinach, bananas, lentils

Bonus Tip: Learn how to put these and other health-promoting foods to work in your daily diet to lose weight fast and look and feel better. Sign up for the free Cook This, Not That! newsletter. You’ll have quick and delicious recipes delivered right to you inbox.

Salmon
Not only does omega-3 fat protect against heart disease and cognitive decline, but according to a study from Diabetes & Metabolism, the wonder fat is also responsible for maintaining healthy levels of cortisol. And what’s the world’s best source of omega-3s? Salmon. But there’s another trick in salmon’s arsenal—a sleep-promoting amino acid called tryptophan. One salmon filet has as much tryptophan as you need in an entire day, and if there’s one remedy for stress, it’s a good night of blissful Zs.

Other smart sources of omega-3 fats: Flaxseeds, walnuts, sardines, halibut
Other smart sources of tryptophan: Chicken, tuna, beef, soybeans

Bonus Tip: The favorite trick of your friendly neighborhood restaurant? Substituting salt for flavor. Studies have linked high-salt foods to increased risk of high blood pressure, stroke, and even heart disease--and experts recommend getting no more than 2,300 milligrams of sodium in your diet each day. Keep your salt intake in check by cooking with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients—and by dodging the salty disasters in this list of the 30 Saltiest Foods in America.

Almonds
The almond's first stress-buster is the aforementioned monounsaturated fats, but at risk of belaboring that point, let’s look at another almond-centered, mind-calming nutrient: vitamin E. In one study, Belgium researchers treated pigs with a variety of nutrients just before sticking them in a transportation simulator (basically a vibrating crate). After 2 hours of simulation, only those pigs treated with tryptophan and vitamin E had non-elevated levels of stress hormones. Almonds, thankfully, are loaded with vitamin E. To reach your day’s requirement from almonds alone, you need to eat about 40 to 50 nuts. Or you can mix them with other vitamin-E rich foods to save calories and add more dietary variety.

Other smart sources of vitamin E: Sunflower seeds, olives, spinach, papaya

Oatmeal
A biochemical effect of stress is a depleted stock of serotonin, the hormone that makes you feel cool, calm, and in control. One reliable strategy for boosting serotonin back to healthy levels is to increase your intake of carbohydrates. That said, scarfing down Ding Dongs and doughnuts isn’t a sustainable solution. Rather, to induce a steady flow of serotonin, aim to eat fiber-rich, whole-grain carbohydrates. The slower rate of digestion will keep seratonin production steady and prevent the blood sugar rollar-coaster that leads to mood swings and mindless eating.

Other sources of fiber-rich carbohydrates: Quinoa, barley, whole-wheat bread, Triscuits

Nice News Story...

Trapped Chile miners alive but long rescue ahead

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20100822/wl_nm/us_chile_mine_accident

SANTIAGO (Reuters) – Thirty-three Chilean miners trapped deep underground sent a message to the surface tied to a drill on Sunday, saying they were all alive in their first contact since a cave-in 17 days ago, but experts said it would take months to dig them out.

President Sebastian Pinera said the paper message was tied to a perforation drill that rescuers used to bore through to the area near an underground shelter, where the miners took shelter after the August 5 collapse at the gold and copper mine in the far north.

"The 33 of us in the shelter are well," read the message written with red paint on the piece of paper that Pinera held up on television.

Around 200 people gathered in a square in the capital Santiago, waving flags to celebrate the news. Drivers honked their horns and diners applauded in restaurants.

"It will take months" to get them out, the beaming president said at the mine head. "It will take time, but it doesn't matter how long it takes to have a happy ending,"

The miners are 4.5 miles inside the winding mine and about 2,300 feet vertically underground. They are inside a mine shaft shelter the size of a small apartment.

Authorities said they had limited amounts of food, and doctors advised sending glucose, enriched mineral water and medicines as well as other foods.

"God is great," 63-year-old Mario Gomez, the eldest of the trapped miners, wrote in a letter to his wife attached to the drill along with the message, which Pinera read on television.

"This company has got to modernize," he added. "But I want to tell everyone I'm OK, and am sure we will survive."

Relatives hugged, kissed and thanked God as news of the message reverberated outside the entrance to the mine, where they have camped out since the mine caved in on August 5.

'NEVER LOST FAITH'

"We never, never lost faith. We knew they were there, and that they would be rescued," said family member Eduardo Hurtado, as other miners' relatives waved red-white-and-blue Chilean flags and cheered.

The miners' plight has drawn parallels with the story of 16 people who survived more than 72 days in the Andes mountains after a 1972 plane crash. Their story was later made into the Hollywood movie "Alive".

Rescuers plan to send narrow plastic tubes called "doves" down the bore-hole with food, hydration gels and communications equipment.

Deep in the small mine, located near the northern city of Copiapo, there are deposits of water and ventilation shafts that helped the miners to survive.

The mine, however, is unstable, and rescue workers were forced to abandon attempts to dig past the main cave-in and down a ventilation shaft.

The plan is now to dig a new shaft to enable the trapped miners to escape, which will take months. Rescue workers say it could take around 120 days to dig a new tunnel to reach them.

Mining Minister Laurence Golborne said rescue workers would lower a camera and microphones to communicate with the miners.

Pinera sacked top officials of Chile's mining regulator and vowed a major overhaul of the agency in light of the accident.

Serious mining accidents are rare in Chile, but the government says the San Jose mine, owned by local private company Compania Minera San Esteban Primera, has suffered a series of mishaps and 16 workers were killed in recent years.

Singapore

Have you ever sit at a place and just watch the beautiful view around you? For me, I did sit at a place before but I wouldn't say I sat and watch my surroundings so closely like I did the other day.

I guess I should say that I was very fortunate when I went to Singapore last weekend. They were having their Youth Olympics Games Rehearsal and there were fireworks. I was there with my cousin and while she was working, I sat around esplanade and watched the beautiful scenery and the fireworks were just right there in front of me.

Although there were some constructions going on but the night scenery was so gorgeous that I could not resist and sat there watching for hours.

I regretted for not bringing my camera to take down such amazing part of Singapore (amazing because I have not sat and watch a place for so long and enjoy every single minute of it.)

The view was so wonderful all thanks to YOG and it captures my heart and gave me the urge of going back there to watch the opening of YOG on Thursday.

Hong Kong is named the city of light and though I have not seen the actual Hong Kong except from HK Dramas but I do think that Singapore can also be called the city of light due to the fireworks and the 28 spotlights that lightened up the city.

It is not very colourful but part of the place that I saw are brightly lit and most of these buildings are offices.

In front of me, there was this building and on top of it there were the shape of a ship and it looks really nice and really cool. Singapore does have good taste for architecture.

On the right side, there was also this hotel that I can see from where I was sitting and it is called the fullerton hotel. It is one of the building that were so bright and with all those lightings, it looks so grand. So I told myself that I would go in one day and see how it actually looks like.

As for now, we'll save this part till I get back to Singapore and that time I will definitely not forget my camera.

Olden Days of Penang....

I have always wondered how does the real Penang look like back in the olden days, how does thing work and all the historical stuff. People would tell me to go to the museum to find out but frankly, I don't see the credibility of Penang Museum.

Here are some photos that I found..... (Can't remember from where though...)

I don't know how credible this pictures are but they are still giving some basic information and pictures of how things back in the olden days looks like... All the little things that our parents do and how do people live as well as how things are sold and stuffs like that....

Kingdom Hearts....

Kingdom Hearts...... Fantastic Game (or maybe it is just me because I was not exposed to a lot of games...)

My cousin and I started this game when we were both in secondary school but we did not manage to finish it in about 3 years time. (We only play during the school break from November to December.)

We managed to go to about seven worlds but managed to lock four worlds. However, this time, we played from the beginning of the story and we managed to end it within a week. The front part was based on our memory if we can remember anything about the world and is able to give us some hints about the world that we are playing in.

Now we are done playing this game.... and waiting to buy the second and the third part of this game..... while waiting for the forth part... to be out this end of the year....

Scardy Cat?

Why is it that I lack in confidence? Why is it that before something even start doing something, I will chicken out and tend to think of quitting instead of gathering the strength and courage to keep on moving forward?

I don’t know how to answer any of that. It is like a mystery to me, trying to solve it myself. Of course, the problem lies within me. It is because of how I think and how I make things more complicated myself when those stuffs that are laid in front of me are so easy to be done.

No matter how many times I tell myself that I am not going to think negatively, sometimes, I just feel that I am deceiving myself which is a huge crime. Sometimes I manage to gather my thoughts and just forget about those pessimistic stuffs that I was thinking and focus on the good things. However, this could not last long.

I wonder how can I help myself…. to build up more courage…. to stop being a chicken… to stop being a pessimist?

Penang In BBC News....

Penang, my hometown became a part of BBC on the day of my birthday... Oh, nothing special, just happy that it gets free publicity in an international news agency.

I am not happy with the government, that is a fact but hey... Penang is still my birth place and I still love it no matter how dirty or stinky some of the places are but hey, I always tell my friend that if you come to Penang and you want to have some good food, just remember to look for places that are dirty and stinky, I am sure they sell good, tasty, yummylicious food.

I wouldn't call myself a true Penangite YET but once I have visited all the beautiful places in Penang with my beloved camera, I will only start calling myself a true Penang Kia!

Anyway, check out the video in the website, it shows some pictures of Penang in the olden days and I never thought it looked that way....

Legal Age...

"You are finally legal to do everything”, so said my cousin.

Yes, I am finally 21 years-old and legal to do everything such as going to the casino which I tried when I was 17 and was denied the access. So now, I can just go and flash my IC to them (hopefully I get to flash as it means that I look younger than 21 and they still need to reconfirm

whether I am allowed to step my foot in there or not) and walk in.

Some people usually take this number 21 as a big thing, but for me, it was, until a few years ago when I wish I could just be a teenager for life. That would be great. The older you go, the more responsibility you carry.

Well, some of my friends that I knew or people I heard about, they celebrated it quite grandly. For me, it was simple and nice as well as touching.

First of all, I would say that the biggest present I get was to get a place to stay for my 2 years tenant here in KL as a student of Monash University, Sunway Campus. I just need to spend RM2 for a daily trip from my aunt’s place to go to Uni and study. Quite convenient an I get to do some exercise such as walking. 10,000 steps a day leads a healthy life.

Secondly, my sister, cousin and niece made me a cake! So touching right, that my sister actually made me a cake. It was Oreo Cheese Cake in a heart shape, sprinkled with some heart toppings and with some round silver thingy and they formed an ‘S’ at the bottom of the heart which I did not notice until my cousin point it out.

This present was given two days before my birthday and it was a surprise with dinner cum supper of KL style Hokkien Char aka Tua Pui Mee, courtesy of my aunt (different aunt as the one I am staying with for my next two years).

Another wonderful thing about my birthday is that I get RED EGGS for my birthday!!! Back in Penang, I only get to eat red eggs when my parents’ friend’s kids are one month old and they give us a box of food. This year, it was different; I get to have it on my birthday!

One last thing that I got from this was a present from my cousin. She bought and brought back the present all the way from Australia and it has something to do with the field that I am studying. (She said that and I guessed incorrectly). It was a notebook cum file and the pattern is so nice which in the end, I don’t feel like using it until I really really need it.

So that was my 21st birthday. Simple, nice and wonderful. Thanks to my loving family.

PS: I did not take any photos of the red eggs and also the present I got from my cousin. So do bear with the cake.

Heavy-Hearted...

When you were a kid, you always dream of leaving the house but when the time is finally here, you just don't want to. You want to stay where you are because you know how much you will miss this place and of course the tenants, the food, the environment, the convenience and so much more that you have been growing up with for the past 20 years 7 months and 7 days.

The week for me to leave is finally here. I have not finished packing or should I say, I have not even started packing and I have tons of things I want to bring with me with most of them are not having to do with my studies. I have not finished cleaning my room and it is not even half cleaned yet. There are so many things that are needed to be done like cutting my hair, waxing the car, fixing my grandmother's favourite chair and now with the maid at my mum's shop gone, I wish I could stay and give them a hand especially the aunty who is working for my mum even though she can just retire and sit at home. If it hasn't been her help as well as my parents, I wouldn't be going to college or now even better, University that is so darn expensive.

Maybe all these are just an excuse for me not wanting to leave but I know I will have to go no matter what. I have made up my mind what I want to do and how I want to do. Things do not usually go as planned and I do not intend to stick to my plan but I am going to focus on my goal and surely things will be good.

For now, I just want to spend time with my parents because I will have less of that for years to come. For the past few days, I had a very great days with them. We laughed, we joked, we teased and of course there were those times when I just lost my temper which is a very bad thing to do depending on the times that I will have with them now that I am leaving for KL.

Oh, people will think that KL is just a very near place. You can always come back. It is just a few hours drive. But the one thing that is different is that, you will be far apart from your parents and no matter how many trips you take to travel back with them, it is different from staying with them but I think it will make me cherish them more and learn how to be a better daughter?

Finally the two of them will have the world to themselves when they are at home except if you count that little naughty, playful, crazy dog of mine, then it will make it three. I'm sure the dog will give them some fun time at home. One thing that will not come from the four legged living being is noise. So it will be quiet and finally no one bothering them, no one singing at night and no one who will hog on to the television watching DVDs.

Blog Title...

I read my blog title and just stare at it for a moment or two. I thought about me in the past and the present. I could not see much difference of it... except physically. (Sighh...)

My life has not improved I guess or I suppose I have not taken any steps to change myself....

I tried to see the me in the future..... but it is blur. Well, we are not suppose to look into the future because it is a mystery that we are suppose to find out ourselves.

I wonder, when will it be the time for me to change, but the problem is that, I don't even see a problem in me that I have to change except for several attitudes like towards my education and also my parents.

For things that my friend have said, I do really can't find the cause of it or when I ever do anything sort of like it or whatever that she puts it. Or maybe it is like what she told me last time, that I am in a denial and do not want to see it myself and just decided to blind myself from it?

Well, if the things she said is true, I do wish I can do something about it, but how I just need to figure that part out.......

As for now, my food in facebook is done and I need to sleep to continue cleaning my room and hopefully done packing by the end of the week.... (more sigh)....

Three Fine Words....

Three-Word Phrases, can be tools to help develop every relationship.

There are many things that you can do to strengthen your relationships. Often the most effective thing you can do involves saying just three words. When spoken sincerely, these statements often have the power to develop new friendships, deepen old ones and even bring healing to relationships that have soured.

The following three-word phrases can be tools to help develop every relationship.

~ Let me help:
Good friends see a need and then try to fill it. When they see a hurt they do what they can to heal it. Without being asked, they jump in and help out.

~ I understand you:
People become closer and enjoy each other more when the other person accepts and understands them. Letting your spouse know - in so many little ways - that you understand them, is one of the most powerful tools for healing your relationship. And this can apply to any relationship.

~ I respect you:
Respect is another way of showing love. Respect demonstrates that another person is a true equal. If you talk to your children as if they were adults you will strengthen the bonds and become closer friends. This applies to all interpersonal relationships.

~ I miss you:
Perhaps more marriages could be saved and strengthened if couples simply and sincerely said to each other “I miss you.” This powerful affirmation tells partners they are wanted, needed, desired and loved. Consider how important you would feel, if you received an unexpected phone call from your spouse in the middle of your workday, just to say “I miss you.”

~ Maybe you’re right:
This phrase is very effective in diffusing an argument. The implication when you say “maybe you’re right” is the humility of admitting, “maybe I’m wrong”. Let’s face it. When you have an argument with someone, all you normally do is solidify the other person’s point of view. They, or you, will not likely change their position and you run the risk of seriously damaging the relationship between you. Saying “maybe you’re right” can open the door to explore the subject more. You may then have the opportunity to express your view in a way that is understandable to the other person.

~ Please forgive me:
Many broken relationships could be restored and healed if people would admit their mistakes and ask for forgiveness. All of us are vulnerable to faults, foibles and failures. A man should never be ashamed to own up that he has been in the wrong, which is saying, in other words, that he is wiser today than he was yesterday.

~ I thank you:
Gratitude is an exquisite form of courtesy. People who enjoy the companionship of good, close friends are those who don’t take daily courtesies for granted. They are quick to thank their friends for their many expressions of kindness. On the other hand, people whose circle of friends is severely constricted often do not have the attitude of gratitude.

~ Count on me:
A friend is one who walks in when others walk out. Loyalty is an essential ingredient for true friendship. It is the emotional glue that bonds people. Those that are rich in their relationships tend to be steady and true friends. When troubles come, a good friend is there indicating “you can count on me.”

~ I’ll be there:
If you have ever had to call a friend in the middle of the night, to take a sick child to hospital, or when your car has broken down some miles from home, you will know how good it feels to hear the phrase “I’ll be there.” Being there for another person is the greatest gift we can give. When we are truly present for other people, important things happen to them and us.

We are renewed in love and friendship. We are restored emotionally and spiritually. Being there is at the very core of civility.

~ Go for it:
We are all unique individuals. Don’t try to get your friends to conform to your ideals. Support them in pursuing their interests, no matter how far out they seem to you. God has given everyone dreams, dreams that are unique to that person only.

Support and encourage your friends to follow their dreams. Tell them to “go for it.”

~ I love you:
Perhaps the most important three words that you can say. Telling someone that you truly love them satisfies a person’s deepest emotional needs. The need to belong, to feel appreciated and to be wanted. Your spouse, your children, your friends and you, all need to hear those three little words: “I love you.” Love is a choice. You can love even when the feeling is gone.

Woody....

Toy Story 1, showed Woody's life as a toy of Andy's, how they met Buzz LightYear and finally bring him back with them to Andy and became one of their family members. Toy Story 2 showed how Woody brought another new toy, a cowgirl and a horse to the new family as well and also how the toys went off and still get back to Andy at the end of the show.

As for Toy Story 3, it was somehow the same as what happened in Toy Story 1 and 2, whereby the toys were sent to a daycare mistakenly and how they find their way back to Andy with a touching ending of Andy sending his toys away to a little girl.

All Toy Story series showed how Woody helped people by bringing them back to a family of his own and finally get back to his own owner, Andy. No matter what happened, he believes in his owner and still get back to him. A loyal friend he is....

Before Toy Story 3 ends, Andy sent his toys to a little girl and before he gave the girl Woody, he said "Woody and I were together since I can remember. He never give up on you and will always be there for you."

This part, it just reminds me of this one person whom I have grown admired of. That was the person who went to watch the movie with me and was sitting next to me. (No, I did not turn to that person and hugged her or looked at her with watery eyes.)

She is smart like Woody, able to find her way in all kinds of situation, though there were times when she was lost and of course she asked for directions and help to go back to herself, but of course she can always find her way back without the help (just like Woody, she is capable of finding the way back to her world and amazingly she will never leave her friend behind but will bring them along the way). She is dependable, she believes in her friend, she takes care of the people around her, and there are just too many things for me to say about her.

There were so many times that I have been rude to her,
but she never left,
she stays and gives her all.

There were so many times that I have showed no mercy and loses my temper on her,
but she never left,
she stays and gives her all.

There were so many times that she was annoyed with me,
but she never left,
she stays and gives her all.

No matter what kind of a hard time I have given her,
she never left.
She stays and still gives her best.

In my Toy Story, she is like my Woody who has never left me and had been patient with me. A loyal friend she is.......... A sister to me she is.......... and a family she is........ To infinity and beyond, she will always be in my heart.......

Bloody Kancil + Egoistic Man....

Here I was, driving slowly(so slow that I can't believe I am the one driving), though my mind was thinking of the best route to reach my destination faster and with less traffic. I looked at the side mirror and slowly I turned in. The car behind me, (I think he just don't like people cutting into his lane, goes into the opposite direction and turned in to my lane before he even finish cutting me and BAM!!!!!! He knocked into my car............. and after all these years of driving, I am hit..... HARD!!!!

There were only scratches on my car but his passenger door was hit and went deep and there was an obvious curve.....

Well, I wouldn't say it is entirely his fault, because I forgot to put my signal but I was very sure he was far away before I turned in but guess his ego got over him and he had to cut me.... but in the end, before I could do much explanation, my dad paid for the damages when it was not entirely my fault and of course, because I did not explain to my father clearly.

There goes RM180 for him...... Ishhh... I remember where he stays and did thought of going to his place and demand for it but then, it is a past now... and at least I am safe. Besides, I wouldn't want to see his face again...... Bloody Kancil driven by an egoistic man..... IShhh......

Back to Study....

AaaaHhhhhh!!!!! I'm going back to study...... *sighhhhs*

After months of just sitting at home and rot while playing games and watching dvds, I am finally going back to study for my degree.

Just a recap, I finished my internship on March 31st. My presentation was on April 21st. Result came to the house in May and that was the end of my two years study in Kolej Damansara Utama, Penang.

First thing that came to me after presentation was, "YESHHHHH!!!! I'm finally done with KDU!!!!!!"

Oh yes, I was absolutely happy that I am finished studying for two years but frankly, I do miss parts of it, not much, enough to keep as my college life's$ memory.

I started to send in my applications for three Universities. One in University of South Australia (UniSA) in Adelaide. Two, Monash University finally Taylor University, both in KL. I received the conditional offer from UniSA but I have reject and postpone my dream of going overseas to study because it is just too expensive for my family to support me there. Taylor which is under UniSA for communications was also denied by me. So, which means, there's only Monash left and yes, I accepted the offer they gave me and paid for the initial fees. I'll be going there on July 12th.

There is not many reasons why I chose Monash and not Taylor. Only two, if I'm not mistaken. First, there was just a slight difference between the fees from Taylor and Monash. Secondly, Monash is more well known and is ranked in the 100th list in the world universities ranking. So, why not pick up the one with a stronger brand when the fees are almost the same, right?

When I first knew that I am going here for my degree, instead of thinking "WOW!!!! I'm going here to study!", I felt a surge of worry and fear and told myself, "My parents, my siblings believe in me, so there is nothing to worry about, I will do my best, give my best, learn as much as I can and do as much as I can and I will not let them down."

Well, I know I have said that quite a few times (not the exact thing but somewhat similar) and I had not really walk the talk but I will make sure this time it will be different. Just like for this blog, I will do my best to make a difference.

The lightings really make this university look pretty nice, eh?

Well, another two weeks and I will be there. July 12th, first day of orientation, July 19th, first day of class. Another beginning..................

Penang...

Penang,
My hometown,
Quarter of My Life...

Penang,
A place should be seen by all,
A place should be visit by all.

Penang,
A food paradise,
A historical place.

What is Penang Island to you?

To me, Penang is......I grew up in this tiny island that you will need to use the magnifying glass to help you find in the map.........

This island is where I was born, an island that I should know better but obviously I don't.

An island that you grew up on and is still staying on.... good or bad thing??

It is a good and a bad thing.....Though Penang is not the only place where I have all my sweet and sorrow memories, it is a place where I had most of my memories, most of my life spent on.....

Penang,
A place not known by many,
A place that I do wish to leave and explore other places...

You Could Be....

You could be somewhere up there;
You could be somewhere beside me.
I wouldn't know,
I wouldn't see.

Never a chance will I get to see you;
Never a chance will I get to talk to you;
Never a chance will I get to see you smile;
Never a chance will I get to hear you laugh.

The times and ways of me treating you,
The images are clear.
The times and days of our happiness together.
The images are blur.

The only dream I have of you,
Were the one showing me what I have done.
The only thing I wish for,
Are for you to be back.

I say this now,
Late and unheard by you,
I am truly sorry for all the things I have done.

I say this now,
Late and unheard by you.
That I miss and love you most.

You are up there somewhere;
You are around me somewhere;
I hope you are;I wish you are.

I do not hope for forgiveness,
I do not hope for any good in return until the end of my life,
I just hope that you are doing great,
I just hope that you have someone way better than me in your next life.

The thing I wished for most,
Is for you to hear,
What I want to say and
It will be things that will never reach you.

On A Windy Night...

The wind is blowing strongly....
The rain is coming
There are no stars tonight.....
And the moon is hiding behind the clouds....

The black sky has become grey....
And I am sitting here at the balcony...
Listening to the wind....
And watching the rain pour...

My mood is down....
I have no answer to that....
My heart is crying....
But my eyes aren't....

Most of the time....
While watching the rain....
The drops of rain will take my soul away
and I would be in another world....
A world of my own....

Sometimes...
The rain do not take me away....
and on this night....
The rain did not bring me with them....

I have no reasons to why am I sitting here alone in the darknor do I have any reasons to why is my heart crying....
It is just like the other nights....
Where my mood just change without me knowing why...

I have the urge of calling you....
or just to message you....
but whenever I take up my phone....
I could not find the courage to dial your numberor to just send you a message....

I know if I have anything....
I can find you....
You said before you would be here....
And I believe you would....

But I could not find the courage to ask you to be here....
I could not find the courage to call and tell you how I feel....
I could not find the courage to just text you..... So I let my mind wonders....
I let my heart cry....
and hope that my eyes will too....

I know even if my eyes do as I wish....
I might not feel better....
I know even if my eyes listen to me and drop a tear...
Everything will not go away....

People can think that I am doing this to myself...
Making myself think.. Sitting here all alone....
You might think so too...
and you can think so....

I do not care what other people think...
I just know that sometimes at night....
I do not have any control over my thoughts....
I do not have any control over my feelings....

I know that if I want to take control...
I can....
But in a way....
I just don't want to....

I have been like this for god knows how long....
In a way.... I don't feel like changing...
In a way.... I want to change....
In a way..... I do not know what I want....

You have been here for me....
And I am happy that you came into my life.....
I appreciate it...
I cherish it....

At this particular night...
With my heart crying....
My eyes now swelling with tears..
.I just want to say Thank You for being here...

You have changed something in me.... Made me realise something....
and I am happier than before... I know it.... I felt it....
Though there are still things inside me...Things that I guess you would like to find out....
And because of that you are still trying to get into me....

I will do my best to open the doors.....
I will do my best to bring you in....
From the front door or from the back....
I will do my best to find a door to the walls that I have built....
To let you in....And slowly and hopefully.... others tooo....

Lastly... I still like to say thank you....
Thank you for everything....
There's nothing I can do to repay you....
But to remember all that you have done....

So Close yet So Far....

The moon is out,
The stars are out,
and I'm sitting by the window sill,
Looking high up into the sky.

I searched the sky for you,
But I Couldnt Find.
I tried to feel for you,
But you are not anywhere.

I hope for your return,
I long for your return.
I wish for your return,
I pray for your return.

No matter how I hope,
No matter how I wish,
No matter how I pray,
I know you will never return.

I hope that you are well,
I wish that you are great,
I pray that you are happy,
and I know you are looking down at me.
Hoping, wishing and praying the same thing and even more.

I will remember you,
Remember the things you did for me,
Remember the advices you gave me,
Remember the love I get from you.

In distance,
You are far away.
In heart,
We are close together.

Done with IT...

The way you left was kind of unacceptable...
But I still have to accept it...
It might be my fault...
It might be your fault...
Who cares now that I am done with it...

I am tired...
Tired of giving love to a person who doesn't deserve it...
Tired of thinking of a way to repair and make it better...
Tired of trying to find my guts to ask you again "What is it that turned this friendship upside down"
Tired of valuing this friendship when you do not even show a sign of you trying...

Trust and respect are two things you must earn...
You earned my trust and respect...
You threw my trust away...

I realise quite a few things with you leaving...
Like what he said...
You are just a part/phase in my life...
Like what he said...
Don't think about it so much and go the way it flows...

I wonder and wonder and wonder...
Why do I value our friendship so much...
When it is only coming from me?
Why do I crack my brain
When you do not seem to care?

I know it is impossible for me to accept it instantly...
because it will take some time for me to accept... but I am getting used to certain things...
It is impossible for me to stop caring for you....
because it is not in my nature to stop caring for someone even though they have left me...

I am done with you but it will take me time to really get over you...
All I hope now is that... to be a bit more selfish...
you will leave and leave me alone...
Stop showing that you care...
Stop showing that you still wanna be friends...
Stop showing your nice face...
because sometimes I feel like slapping that bloody face...

If you want this to end... END IT...
If you want this friendship still... Help me to repair it instead of leaving me doing the things...
If you want this to go on... Please do it without me feeling it...

It stings when you do it and I can feel it...
It stings even more when you give me hope that we can be friends again...
It stings when you be nice and evil the next moment...
It just stings to be your friend sometimes...

Friendship

Sometimes river flows fast and sometimes slow.
But no matter what speed it's moving,
It never stop and there's no end.
Just like Friendship.

Although we don't always talk,

laugh or see each other,

Always remember one thing,
I'll be there with you.
No matter what happen,
No matter where you are.

I can't promise you that
I will never forget the great times I had with you,
The laughter we shared.
But one thing for sure,
I truly cherish the time we had
and,
All the the time we will have in the future.

Sometimes you make me sad,
Sometimes you make me happy.
Sometimes you hit me,
Sometimes you pinch me.
But I forgive you for all that
Because we are friend.

Soooo.........

May all my friends will have a life
As bright as the sun,
As sweet like the sweet,
As round as the moon.

Friendship is like Promise.

"Once a promise, forever a promise"
"Once a friend, forever a friend"

Friends....

Friends come and go but every time before they leave, they leave us here with memories.

Someone once told me, “Friends should not be too close as one will leave the other sooner or later and will regret that they cannot maintain the same closeness they had.”

It is not what we will have or get in the future but what we had in the past and whether did we cherish and treasure it deep in our heart or not. We cannot plan for the future and what we plan might not come true. Besides, we should make everyday like our last. As tomorrow is still a mystery to us and today is the best present we have.

Therefore, we should do what we can and enjoy it while we are together especially family and friends. Leave the future worries until the time comes. Why worry about tomorrow when today has not end?

It is better to ‘taste’ before than never get the chance to ‘taste’ it with that particular person. It might be bitter in time to come but let it be sweet once when you are capable in making the sweetness.

To tell you deep in the heart, maybe in the future, the closeness we have now will fade but this is what I have to say before the closeness fade:-

I am grateful to have a bunch of family and friends that love me, support me when I need it. There are some passengers in my life that gave me support and love too and they will never be at the back of my heart where all there is left is just bad memories and guilt. I feel comfortable to have friends (some) like you all. Some of them taught me lessons of life and some are still teaching. Maybe I dislike that person but I am still happy to have that person in my life because he/she has taught me and is still teaching me the lessons that I should know to stay in this world. I also cannot thank all the people around me for the good and bad things they have given me. They have been challenges and encouragement for me to live on with my life although sometimes I feel like giving up. Maybe the closeness of our relationship will slowly fade when we are a few miles away or worse still, hundred and thousand miles apart, I will still pray for you and us. I am sure I will change physically and mentally with the running of time but the relationship between us will not change.
